Desc: Women in Amazigh Music: Directed by Farida Benlyazid. The songs of women are an integral part of the berber musical heritage and are increasingly reflected in a multitude of diverse genres. We followed the journeys of several of these women from different regions in Morocco. Poets, musicians, guardians of tradition and innovators, they are all driven by one passion: The recognition of Amazigh or Berber culture, both in Morocco and beyond the borders.
